We, the Powderpuff Girls, will try to test as many new beauty, skin and haircare products as we can. This blog used to be all about testing as many new salons, clinics and nail bars as we could. However, since the pandemic, Vivienne and Eloise have both been very interested in trying to keep up all the usual glamour by ourselves. While our recent trips to the salon have been few and far between, we still aim to bring you the best beauty products, tips and tricks as we find them. We’re excited to bring you on our journey to show the best of what the UK has to offer and find that special chemical X.

Vivienne is a woman with great knowledge when it comes to both natural and additional beauty. Not just an incredibly artistic person, she has trained herself in the arts of makeup application and understanding, blogging, and reviewing. Vivienne is very busy with her job as Company Director, her Etsy shop, Soigne Treasures, and her family. As an artist, she has always loved beauty, and has a special interest in high end products, as well as beauty history.

Eloise is a freelance writer with a wide variety of interests and a growing portfolio. Her writing can be found here, as well as on her other blog, eloisembrooks, where she writes about all her non-beauty related thoughts. She also has an Etsy shop, Soigne Kitsch. Eloise will write reviews of beauty products et al whenever she can, and will be the main contributor of the puns and dupes. Although not as good as her mother at the application of makeup, she knows good quality when she sees it!

This site is a mother-daughter creation, based in the Chesterfield area. Our quest to find those ‘Xtra’ special products is ongoing, and we hope you enjoy the ride.
